الإيساف تشيّد بالعمل التطوّعي في مخيم موساسا للاجئين في بوروندي

أطلقت الإيساف مبادرة عبر الحدود، ستشمل المبادرة ندوة للشباب وعملا مجتمعيا في مخيم للاجئين في نغوزي في بوروندي. افتتح النشاط رسميًا وكيل  وزارة مجتمع شرق إفريقيا سيفيرين مباروبوكي. سيشمل العمل المجتمعي  بناء ملعب لكرة السلة، وإنشاء نادي اجتماعي اقتصادي، وتدريب مستشاري الأقران في مخيم موسى للاجئين. المشروع جزء من الجهود المستمرة للإيساف للمشاركة مع منظمات المجتمع المدني الشبابية، إضافة إلى الوصول إلى شباب لاجئين. سيشارك في المشروع مندوبون شباب من الدول الأعضاء في الإيساف، وشباب من المجلس الوطني البوروندي وأكثر من 60 شابًا من مخيم موساسا. وفقًا لمندوبة الشباب في أوغندا، شميم نبادا، سيساعدها المشروع على التواصل مع مجموعة خاصة من الشباب، كما سيمنحها الفرصة للمساهمة في قضايا جادة ونبيلة.

وزير الدفاع الكيني يلتقي بقادة الإيساف

التقى رئيس مجلس وزراء الدفاع والأمن للدول الأعضاء في الإيساف ووزير الدفاع الكيني، معالي السيد آدم بري دعالي، بمدير الإيساف، العميد بول كاهوريا نجيما والوفد المرافق له في يوم الثلاثاء 6 يونيو 2023 في مقر الدفاع في نيروبي، كينيا. حضر الاجتماع أيضا رئيس لجنة رؤساء أركان أمن شرق إفريقيا ورئيس أركان الدفاع الكيني الجنرال فرانسيس أوموندي أوغولا.

New Director Joins EASF

EASF has received a new Director, Brig Paul Kahuria Njema, who takes over from Brig Gen Getachew Shiferaw Fayisa who has served as EASF’s Director from 2020. The handover ceremony took place at the EASF Secretariat in Karen Nairobi on 19^th May 2023 and was attended by among others, the Chairperson of Friends of EASF, the EASF management team and EASF staff.

The Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Defence in Kenya Hosts Outgoing and Incoming EASF Directors

The Cabinet Secretary for Defence, Hon. Aden Duale, on the 18^th May 2023,  hosted the incoming Director of the Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) Brigadier Paul Kahuria Njema who paid him a courtesy visit at Defence Headquarters in Nairobi. Brigadier Njema was also accompanied by the outgoing Director Brigadier General Getachew Shiferaw Fayisa.
