EASF Welcomes New Ministerial Council Chairmanship and Staff at FHQ

During the just concluded 23rd Ordinary Council of Ministers of Defence and Security Meeting of the EASF region that was held in the Republic of Djibouti on 18th January 2018, the EASF fraternity witnessed a number of changes in the leadership of the organization's decision making organs as well as operational staff at Force Headquarters.

The Republic of The Sudan handed over the Chairmanship of the Council of Ministers to the Republic of Uganda.  The Minister for Defence of the Republic of Uganda, Hon. Col. Engola Okello received the Chairperson's flag from his outgoing counterpart, the State Minister for Defence of the Republic of The Sudan, Hon. Mohamed Ali Salem. The change of guard was officiated by the EASF Director, Dr. Abdillahi Omar Bouh. The Republic of Burundi becomes the Vice Chair while the Republic of The Sudan takes over as Rapporteur of EASF Bureau.

At the Force Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Dr. Bouh welcomed the incoming Materials' Management Officer, Col. Grace Kashaija from Uganda and the Procurement and Contracting Officer, Mr. Abdillahi Ali.

EASF changes it's staff in accordance with the laid down rotational matrix involving all it's 10 Member States in order to ensure fair and competent representation at all levels.
