EASF Bids the Head of Administration and Finance Farewell

The Eastern Africa Standby Force held a farewell ceremony for the outgoing Head of Administration and Finance Colonel Leterbrahn Kahsay on 23rd August 2019 at the Secretariat in Karen, Nairobi.

At the same time, the Standby Force welcomed the new Head of Administration and Finance Ms Lina Peggy Hoareau from the Republic of Seychelles.

During his address to the gathering at the Secretariat, the EASF Director Dr. Abdillahi Omar Bouh applauded Colonel Kahsay for her outstanding leadership in the merged Department of Finance and Administration. Prior to her engagement, the two entities existed as independent departments with separate leaderships. Colonel Kahsay managed to steer the then combined departments through her exemplary management traits into the sound docket it is today.

The Joint Chief of Staff, Major General (Dr.) Charles Rudakabana reflected on Colonel Kahsay's commitment to the implementation of EASF's Strategic Plan 2015-2020. The plan is a blueprint spelling out diverse milestones the Standby Force is set to achieve during the period in question. It was during her tenure that the Finance Department saw the introduction of digital financial platforms which have contributed immensly to a rise in working efficiency.
