EASF and Sudan Reaffirm Commitment to Regional Peace and Security

Nairobi, Kenya - 24th June 2026- The Director of the Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) received the Defense Attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Sudan to Kenya, Major General Magdi Ahmed, during a courtesy visit to the EASF Secretariat in Nairobi. 

The meeting provided an opportunity for discussions on matters of mutual interest, including regional peace, security, and cooperation within the Eastern Africa region.

The Director welcomed the visit and reaffirmed EASF’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with Member States and key stakeholders in support of regional stability and collective security efforts. 

The visit underscored the importance of continued engagement and partnership in advancing shared peace and security objectives.
