Ongoing FPU Commanders Course at the Djibouti National Gendarmerie School

The Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) has launched its ongoing Formed Police Unit (FPU) Commanders Course at the Djibouti National Gendarmerie School, running from 24 November to 5 December 2025. The training brings together 22 senior officers from EASF Member States to strengthen leadership, coordination and operational readiness for future peace support missions.

EASF Concludes Regional Workshop on Preventing Child Soldier Recruitment in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, 27 November 2025 - The Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) Logistics Base in Addis Ababa has concluded a three-day regional workshop focused on strengthening efforts to prevent the recruitment and use of children in armed conflict. The training, organized in partnership with the Dallaire Institute for Children, Peace and Security, brought together representatives from EASF Member States and staff for intensive sessions on child protection in security operations.
