EASF Police AU Pre-Deployment Course in Rwanda

In accordance with the EASF approved Activity Plan 2016, EASF conducted an African Union Pre-deployment Course (AUPC) for the Police Component in Gishari, Rwanda. The aim of the course was to prepare the Police within the Standby Force

for possible future AU/EASF Mandated Peace Support Operations (PSOs). The course was informed by the necessity to develop and maintain the achieved Full Operational Capability (FOC) for the multinational PSO deployment. It was scheduled to run from 06th – 17th June 2016 at Gishari Police Training School in Rwanda.

45 participants drawn from EASF Member States and 9 Danish Police officers attended the course. Participating countries were Comoros, Denmark, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Sudan and Uganda.
