EASF Director Partcipates in Exercise Eastern Accord 2016

The Director, EASF Amb Issimail Chanfi participated in the Exercise Eastern Accord (EA 16), conducted at the Peace Keeping Training Centre in Kunduch, Tanzania on July 21st 2016.

Exercise EA-16 is a Command Post Exercise (CPX) designed to strengthen participants’ capability to plan for and employ forces in support of an AU-mandated peace operation and enhance a regional approach to combating extremism while supporting humanitarian assistance at the same time.

The Exercise was funded by the US Africa Command. Participating nations included Djibouti, Ethiopia, Rwanda and Uganda.
