Force Headquarters Training Starts

The Eastern Africa Standby Force launched a Force Headquarters' Training at the Kenya Commercial Bank Leadership Training Center in Karen, Nairobi on 10th November 2021.

The course aims at preparing Force Headquarters' staff for African Union's or EASF's mandated Peace Support Operations (PSO). It has been informed by the necessity to further develop and maintain the operational capability of the multinational Force Headquarters.

During the training, course participants will obtain knowledge of EASF as an organization, structure and capabilities of the Military Component, as well as the role of the component in various PSO scenarios. The skills being imparted include the use of analytical tools and the ability to create planning products that facilitate headquarters' tactical planning.

The course, which comes to an end on 19th November 2021, is fully funded by the Government of the Royal Kingdom of Denmark.
