EASF Launches a Two-Weeks-Long Mission Planning & Management Section Workshop

EASF launched a two-week-long Mission Planning & Management Section (MPMS) workshop today, 17 January 2022, at EASF Premises in Karen, Nairobi.

The workshop was opened officially by the EASF Director Brig. Gen. Getachew Shiferaw Faysia In his speech, the Director welcomed all participants and stressed the importance of this exercise in preparation for the upcoming ‘Command Post Exercise (CPX) due to take place in March this year.

Prior to the Director’s speech, the Joint Chief of Staff, Brig. Gen. PSC Dr. Osman Mohamed Abbas also offered some opening remarks.

The International Advisory and Coordinating Staff (IACS) representative Mr. Peter Zartsdahl also addressed the participants in the opening ceremony.

The MPMS will essentially provide the objectives and the entire plan for the CPX exercise, and thereby set EASF firmly on the road to maintain its Full Operational Capability (FOC).
