Final preparations are on the way for the presidential elections due to be held in Somalia this Sunday 15th May, 2022. The first phase of this voting process was the elections for the House of the People which started in November 2021 and ended on 13th April 2022. Following the recent voting process nearly 300 MPs have been sworn in for the two parliamentary chambers.But the choice of about 30 MPs has not yet been concluded because of disputes over various issues, including the eligibility of candidates.

EASF’s political Officer, Ali said Ali met with the Somali Parliament Hon. Adan Mohamed Noor (Madoobe) on Sunday 8^th April to discuss deployment and accreditation of EASF observers to the forthcoming presidential elections in the Federal Republic of Somalia.
