Eastern Africa Standby Force Bids Farewell to Local Staff, Welcomes New Team
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – On January 16, 2025, the Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) Logistics Base and Logistics Training Center held a farewell ceremony for outgoing local staff marking the end of their tour of duty. The event also served as an opportunity to welcome the new local staff, who officially began their duties on January 1, 2025.
The handover marks a new chapter for the Logistics Base and Training Center, which plays a critical role in ensuring the readiness and operational effectiveness of the Eastern Africa Standby Force. As the region’s security landscape continues to evolve, the work of the EASF remains crucial in maintaining peace and stability across Eastern Africa
The incoming local staff will join their colleagues in advancing the EASF’s strategic objectives, with a focus on enhancing logistics and training capacities for peacekeeping and humanitarian operations across the region.
