Maritime Search and Rescue Course officially Opened in Entebbe, Uganda
A two weeks Maritime Search and Rescue course (SAR), has officially opened on 23rd September 2019 in Entebbe, Uganda. The course's aim is to train and equip naval, coastguard officers and maritime rescue coordination centers (MRCC) Staff with skills that enable them to respond to any emergencies or distress at sea.
EASF Commemorates International Day of Peace
The Eastern Africa Standby Force celebrated the International Day of Peace at the Secretariat in Karen, Nairobi, on 20th September 2019. This year, the 21st of September, which is the United Nation's official International Day of Peace, falls on a Saturday.
EASF Bids Head of Civilian Component Goodbye
The Eastern Africa Standby Force bid farewell to the outgoing Head of Civilian Component Mr Steve Lalande from the Republic of Seychelles on 20th September 2019. Mr. Lalande successfully headed the Civilian Component during the last three years.
EASF Participates in Save the Children Workshop
The Eastern Africa Standby Force took part in a "Save the Children" workshop which ran from 10th to 13th September 2019 at the Speke Resort in Munyonyo, Uganda.
