FTX 2017 Induction Training Starts Near Port Sudan

The Induction Training for the Field Training Exercise (FTX) 2017 also known as Mashariki Salaam II kicked off near Port Sudan in the Republic of the Sudan on 22nd November 2017.

During the opening session, the EASF Director Dr. Abdillahi Omar Bouh underscored the regional peace-keeper's mission of maintaining and sustaining a fully operational multidimensional integrated standby force ready to respond to emerging crises in the region and beyond. This, he said, can only be achieved by improving capacity through trainings and exercises; FTX 2017 is without doubt an important milestone in EASF's Strategic Plan 2015 - 2020.

The Induction Training runs for three consecutive days ending on Friday 24th November 2017.
