EASF Leadership Attends AU Summit in Addis Ababa

The 32nd Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union (AU) opened on 25th January 2018 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. During the two day meeting, the Eastern Africa Standby Force is being represented by the Director, Dr. Abdillahi Omar Bouh, the Head of EASF Peace Operations'

Department, Brigadier Albert Kendagor and the AU - EASF Liaison Officer.

The meeting, whose theme is “Winning the Fight against Corruption: A Sustainable Path to Africa’s Transformation” aims at considering the draft decisions and declarations of the Assembly with appropriate recommendations for consideration by the Assembly of the AU Heads of State and Government, scheduled to take place from 28th to 29th January 2018.

Executive Council meeting, which brings together all the Ministers of the 55 African Union Member States, intends to carry out the election and appointment of the ten members of the Peace and Security Council, one Member of the Advisory Board on Corruption and election of two Members of the Pan-African University Council.
