EASF HANDS workshop

EASF HANDS workshop held between 18-22 July 2022 in Khartoum Sudan. The objective was to validate and resource plans established in Burundi. This is part of process to actualise AU requirement on RMs to use ASF to handle HANDS noting that they also contribute to peace and security challenge in the region and entire continent.

EASF HANDS workshop held between 18-22 July 2022 in Khartoum Sudan. The objective was to validate and resource plans established in Burundi. This is part of process to actualise AU requirement on RMs to use ASF to handle HANDS noting that they also contribute to peace and security challenge in the region and entire continent.

The workshop had participants from the EASF member states and EASF planning element (PLANELM). It was led by regional consultants 8FOLD ltd kenya.The first workshop was held in Comoros sponsored by royal kingdom of Denmark. The second, third and fourth is sponsored by EU APSA IV fund. The second was held in Burundi, third is Sudan while the fourth and final workshop will be held in Djibouti handling HANDS plan legal operationalization. Sudan workshop was officially opened and closed by major general Alaadin Osman Mirghani from Sudan national army.
