Category: News

In accordance with the Early Warning Systems' implementation plans, the Eastern Africa Standby Force convened a three day workshop commencing on 6th June 2018 at the Kenya Commercial Bank Training School in Karen, Nairobi, Kenya.

The workshop aims at developing an operational model with a detailed plan depicting how the roll out of the Early Warning System in accordance with the Strategic Plan 2015-2020 will be implemented. The operational model will thus act as a road-map for the entire Early Warning Program.

During the opening session of the workshop, the EASF Head of Peace Operations' Department Brigadier Albert Kendagor welcomed the participants and thanked EASF Member States for availing experts in this area to attend this important convention. He expressed optimism that the participants would deliver on the subject matter by closure of the workshop on 8th June 2018.

A total of thirty seven participants are attending the workshop which has been fully funded by the Government of the Kingdom of Denmark and the United Kingdom.
