The Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Defence in Kenya Hosts Outgoing and Incoming EASF Directors

The Cabinet Secretary for Defence, Hon. Aden Duale, on the 18^th May 2023,  hosted the incoming Director of the Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) Brigadier Paul Kahuria Njema who paid him a courtesy visit at Defence Headquarters in Nairobi. Brigadier Njema was also accompanied by the outgoing Director Brigadier General Getachew Shiferaw Fayisa. 

The Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Defence in Kenya and the incoming Director discussed a wide range of issues among them the preparedness of the Force to execute its mandate of enhancing Peace and Security in the Eastern Africa Region.

EASF is one of the multi-dimensional Forces of the African Standby Force (ASF) that comprises the Military, Police and Civilian Components. The EASF Secretariat is based in Karen, Nairobi, Kenya.
