EASF Director's Visit to Foster Cooperation in Italy

In a visit that highlights the importance of international cooperation, the Director of the Eastern Africa Standby Force, Brigadier (Rtd) Paul Kahuria Njema, visited the 8° Regiment “Lazio” in Italy on June 24, 2024. The Director and his delegation were warmly received by Brig. Gen. (Carabinieri) Andrea Paris.

During the visit, the regiment leadership presented a comprehensive overview of the regiment's composition and tasks. Additionally, an exhibition of the tools, equipment, and vehicles used by the regiment was showcased. The EASF Director expressed his gratitude for the presentation and emphasized the need for cooperation between the two sides in areas of common interest.

The meeting concluded with both parties exchanging souvenirs as a symbol of their commitment to continued communication and joint cooperation. This visit highlights the importance of international partnerships in promoting peace and security around the world.
