Memorial for Departed Member of Staff Conducted

A memorial ceremony for the late Col. Onesphore Nizigiyimana, who was the Commandant of the Eastern African Standby Force (EASF) Logistics’ Training Center, was held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on 11th May 2021.

The ceremony, which was attended by members of staff from EASF's Force Headquarters and Logistics' Base, was led by the Chief of Staff at EASF's Logistics' Base, Col. Ahmed Essa.

Col. Onesphore Nizigiyimana served in the Burundi National Defense Force at different levels and also served as the Military Advisor in United Nations Assistance Mission in Somalia (UNSOM) before he joined EASF.
 
The EASF management and staff presents its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Col. Onesphore Nizigiyimana on his sad demise and the heartbreaking loss of his daughter, both in a tragic incident which occurred on Sunday 9th May, 2021. We pray for their souls and for the comfort and strength of the family during this difficult time.
