Japanese Delegation Visits EASF Force HQ and Logistics' Base

The EASF Force Commander, Brigadier General Alladine Osman together with the Chief of Staff, EASF Logistics Base, Colonel Godwin Karugaba welcomed delegates from Japan at their respective institutions in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on 19th September 2017.

Japan has been a strong supporter of EASF's activities for many years. The delegation aimed at informing itself on the progress the regional peacekeeper has been making especially after the attainment of Full Operational Capability in 2014. The East Asian powerhouse is keen on partnering with EASF in matters of capacity development now and in the future. The delegation also expressed its desire to attend the Field Training Exercise (FTX) 2017 planned to take place in November in Port Sudan, in the Republic of the Sudan.

The Japanese delegation was led by the Defense Attaché to the Embassy in Ethiopia, Colonel Hidemasa Murata.
