EASF Holds Integrated Mission Planning Course
The Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) launched an Integrated Mission Planning Course (IMPC) on Monday 9th July 2018, at Peacekeeping Training Centre, in Khartoum, in the Republic of the Sudan.
The IMPC seeks to increase the number of individuals, drawn from all three components, namely Military, Police and Civilian from across all ten Member States that are qualified to operate as Staff Officers at either the Mission or Force Headquarters' level. It is expected that this course will contribute to increasing the number of individuals held on the Deployment and Readiness Roster (D&RR) who are qualified and practiced in integrated planning - a key factor that will enhance the operational effectiveness of both Mission and Force Headquarters.
The two-weeks' IMPC course is funded by African Union and will come to an end on Friday 20th July 2018.
