Finland's Ambassador to Kenya Visits EASF Secretariat

The Ambassador of Finland to Kenya, Ms Tarja Fernández, recently visited the EASF Secretariat in Karen, Nairobi. She was accompanied by the Director of the Unit for Security Policy and Crisis Management,

Mr. Mikko Kinnunen and Team Leader of Common Security and Defence Policy of the European Union, Ms Leena Pylvänäinen.

Finland, which is one of the Nordic Advisory Cordination Staff (NACS) members, has been supporting the regional peace keeping organization in its development and operations for many years. NACS comprises Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.

The EASF Director, Ambassador Issimail Chanfi, informed the visitors of the progress EASF has been making ever since its inception. He thanked the people and the governments of the Nordic countries for their unwavering support which has been  crucial in achievement of numerous milestones the regional organization has had over the years.
