EASF Conducted Roster Recruitment and Verification Exercise in Kampala, Uganda

The Civilian Component of EASF is conducting its roster recruitment and verification exercise in Kampala, Uganda, this week from 4 - 7 July 2022. The main purpose of the Exercise is to recruit candidates from the Member State so as to populate the African Standby Capacity (ASC) database with potential candidates from different fields of expertise for eventual deployment

The first day of the Exercise, Monday 4 July, there was the opening ceremony by the EASF Civilian Component alongside representatives from the Republic of Uganda, Mr. Mutabazi James. The Undersecretary of the Uganda People's Defence Air Force was the Guest of Honour who launched the Exercise officially. In attendance was the Civilian National Focal Point, Mr. Elias Mparana who provided a word of encouragement to the Ugandan candidates to join the ASC roster. The team from EASF consisted of Mr. Kedir Ababulgu Ali, Head of Civilian Component; Ms. Octavia Rose, Planning, Training & Evaluation Officer; Mr. Abdoullahi Haro, Rostering & Coordination Officer; Ms. Irene Kin'gori, Human Resource Officer; and Secretary to the Civilian Component, Ms. Fridah Mungania. Twenty-five candidates attended the opening ceremony and received information about the EASF, the civilian rostering process and information on exercise that was presented by the EASF personnel. The rostering interviews began on Tuesday 5 July and is expected to end on Thursday 7 July.
