Japanese Delegation Calls on EASF Force Commander

The EASF Force Commander, Brigadier General Aladin Osman Mirghani together with the Commandant of the Logistics' Training Center, Colonel Charahane Mogne welcomed a Japanese delegation at the Force Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on 14th February 2018.

The aim of the meeting was to clarify on EASF's Operational Capabilities as well as discuss any challenges in the area of  interoperability within the organization itself. Discussions on the readiness and preparedness of the regional peace-keeper in matters relating to deployment in UN Peacekeeping Missions or AU Peace Support Operations were also held. The Force Commander briefed the guests on the recently concluded Field Training Exercise (FTX) 2017.

The Japanese visitors expressed their country's great willingness to support EASF in the future.

The delegation was led by the Defense Attaché to the Embassy in Ethiopia, Colonel Hidemasa Murata accompanied by Mr. Akina Sudo and Mr. Kazuaki Uchiumu. The two gentlemen are officials from the Intelligence Headquarters of the Japanese Ministry of Defence.
