EASF in solidarity with Kenyans
Following the suspected terror attacks reported in 14 Riverside Drive, Westlands, Nairobi yesterday, the Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) would like to issue the following statement.
The EASF strongly condemns the cowardly act perpetrated on the civilians in yesterday’s attack. We offer our most heartfelt condolences to all the families and friends of those killed in the attack and speedy recovery to the injured. EASF joins the rest of the region and the world in offering our support and solidarity to the Kenyan Government and its people in this difficult hour. Peace and security in the region is of the utmost importance to EASF and today, in the midst of this unfortunate event, we once gain call on everyone to denounce all forms of violence and conflict and to promote peace and security in our region. We salute the efforts of the law enforcement and national security agencies for their swift response in yesterday’s attack and thank them for their brave and courageous acts in response to the attacks.
In conclusion the Eastern Africa Standby Force would like to reiterate its support and solidarity to the people and Government of Kenya, let us remain united against all forms of terror and side by side we stand together for peace in our region.
