EASF Launches Logistic Map Exercise (MAPEX) in Addis Ababa Ethiopia
In a significant development on 8th of July 2024, the EASF Force Commander, General Getachew Ali Mohamed, alongside the Logistics Base, Chief of Staff, Colonel Julien Rwangarambe, inaugurated The Logistics Mapex Planning Conference in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This pivotal event is set to span five days, concluding on Friday, July 12th 2024.
EASF Flags off its Election Observer Mission to Rwanda
The Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) has officially commenced its Election Observer Mission (EOM) to be deployed in the Republic of Rwanda in preparation for the 2024 election.
EASF Participates in Virtual Meeting with AUC Commission
On 8th of July 2024, Brigadier General (Rtd) Paul Kahuria Njema, the Director of the Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF), took part to the virtual meeting between the Chairperson of the African Union Commission Moussa Faki Mahamat and the CEOs of the Regional Economic Communities and Regional Mechanisms.
EASF Director Meeting at the Carabinieri General Headquarters in Italy
On June 28, 2024, Brig (Rtd) Paul Kahuria Njema, the Director of the Eastern Africa Standby Force, wrapped up his visit to Italy, with a significant meeting at the Carabinieri General Headquarters with the Head of the II Department, Brig. Gen. Arturo Guarino, to discuss potential future collaboration between the two Organizations.
