Enhancing coordination for the Police Component
The Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) conducted a Police Points of Contact (PPOC) workshop in Mombasa, Kenya, from 9th – 12th March 2023. The aim was to update the nine Member States represented on the achievements, progress and challenges of EASF Police component and the need to keep an updated Police database.

The opening ceremony of a Joint Seminar by the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) and Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) took place in Mogadishu, Somalia on Monday 6th March, 2023.
EASF Senior Management Work Visit to ATMIS
Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) Director of the Secretariat, Brig Gen Getachew Shiferaw Fayisa led on 5th March an EASF Delegation to Mogadishu. The objective is to strengthen the collaboration and the cooperation with the key stakeholders in Somalia.
