EASF Headquarters' Planning Workshop in Copenhagen

Participants from EASF Planning Element, NACS, Nordic countries and UK got a little flavour of the Danish winter as they took part in the EASF Planning Workshop for EASF Headquarters' training in 2017. The three Heads of Components, that is, Military,

Police and Civilian including Chief J6 from EASF Planning Element participated in a week long planning workshop in the Danish capital, Copenhagen during 5th – 9th December 2016.

The event was also attended by the Nordic advisory team (NACS – Nordic Advisory and Coordination Staff), the UK Advisor, the Danish and Norwegian Police Advisors and Danish military officers. The purpose of the event was to prepare a detailed implementation plan for all the training activities in 2017 directed towards enabling EASF to command and control the 5.000 troop strong reaction force in the most efficient way.

The year of 2017 is expected to be a busy year for EASF with a lot of training activities, which will culminate in a major Field Training Exercise with participation from its ten member states scheduled to take place in Sudan in November 2017.
