A delegation of six officers from the Egyptian Armed Forces Training Authority paid EASF Secretariat a familiarization visit in Karen, Nairobi on 24th May 2017.

Egypt is a member of the North African Regional Capacity (NARC) which is one of the five Standby Forces of the African Union on the continent.

The delegation, led by the Head of Egyptian Armed Forces Training Authority Major General Ahmed Wasfi, was welcomed at the Secretariat by the EASF Director, Dr Abdillahi Omar Bouh. The day's briefings centered mainly on the developement of the organization ever since its establishment more than a decade ago.

On his part, Major General Wasfi thanked the EASF senior leadership for the cordial welcome accorded to the delegation. He expressed his confidence that the two institutions are poised to make tremendous impacts in matters of peace and security in their respective backgrounds.
