Management Calls on Ethiopian Defence Minister

After successfully initiating the Youth for Peace programme, the EASF management called on the Defence Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic

of Ethiopia, Hon. Dr. Kenea Yadeta (PhD), at the Defence Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on 8th July 2021.

The EASF delegation comprised the Director, Brig. Gen. Getachew Shiferaw Fayisa, the Head of Administration and Finance Ms. Lina Peggy Hoareau, the Head of Peace Operations' Department Brig. Gen. Henry Isoke, the Joint Chief of Staff, Brig. Gen. PSC Dr. Osman Mohamed Abbas Osman, the Force Commander, Brig. Gen. Vincent Gatama, the Chief of Staff at EASF's Logistics' Base Col. Ahmed Essa and the Military Assistant, Lt. Col. Boniface Chomba.

During the meeting, the Director apprised the Minister on EASF's current activities as well as its financial status. On his part, Minister Dr. Yadeta promised total support to EASF for its good work in enhancing peace and security within the region. He expressed satisfaction that through this organization, regional problems can be solved by regional actors, who best understand the complex dynamics of these conflicts.

The EASF delegation also visited the Chief of Staff and updated him on the same.
