EASF Renewing Cooperation with Centers of Excellence

The Eastern Africa Standby Force held extensive discussions with officials at the Rwanda Peace Academy from 23rd to 27th August 2021 in Musanze, Rwanda.

The meetings aimed at reviewing and renewing the cooperation agreement with this Regional Center of Excellence which conducts regular Peace Support Operations' (PSO) trainings on behalf of the Standby Force. Representing EASF in this engagement were the Head of Police Component, Col Ali Mohamed Robleh and the Police Training, Planning and Evaluation Officer, SSP Rachael Munge Kironji.

The Rwandese team was led by the Director of the Rwanda Peace Academy, Col Jill Rutaremara.

In accordance with the Annual Activity Plan, EASF will conduct similar reviews and draw cooperation agreements with two more Regional Centers of Excellence in Ethiopia and in the Sudan in the near future.
