Civilian Component's Recruitment and Verification in Comoros
The Eastern Africa Standby Force successfully carried out a Civilian Roster Recruitment and Verification Exercise from 26th to 28th June 2019 in Moroni, Comoros.
The launch of the verification exercise was graced by senior officials of the Union of Comoros led by the Principal Secretary from the Office of the President Mr. Mohamed Sinai accompanied by Comoros Army Chief of Staff & Development Colonel Issouf Idjihadi, Special Advisor and Former Director of EASF Ambassador Issimail Chanfi and the Attorney General Mr Mohamed Soilihi Djae.
The Civilian Roster Recruitment and Verification Exercise was conducted by the EASF Team in accordance with African Union's rostering principles. A substantive number of those interviewed would thereafter join the African Standby Capacity. This is yet another milestone which consolidates EASF's leading role in providing the Continental Standby Force with highly trained personnel ready and willing to be deployed in peace keeping missions.
The EASF Team comprised the Human Resource Officer, Colonel Viator Niyonyabo, the Head of Civilian Component, Mr Steve Lalande, Coordination and Rostering Officer, Mr. Agustine Mukomeza, Training and Evaluation Officer Mr. Ali Madi Mourdi and the Component's Administrative Assistant, Ms Fridah Mungania.
