EASF Director Meets Djibouti Defence Minister

The EASF Director Dr. Abdillahi Omar Bouh held a fruitful meeting with the Djibouti Minister for Defence, Honorable Hassan Omar Mohamed Bourhan on 15th January 2020 in Djibouti City.

The regional peacekeeper was placed by the African Union on continental standby from 1st July to 31 December 2019. During this period, EASF was responsible for addressing any conflicts, could these have arisen anywhere on the entire African Continent.

Periodically, Dr. Bouh meets with Ministers from across the ten EASF Member States in order to update them on the progress the Standby Force is making in implementing the decisions made by the Council of Ministers.

In the course of the day, the Director is scheduled to hold talks with other high ranking officials in Djibouti Government.
