31st Ordinary Policy Organs EACDS Meeting
The Committee of the Eastern Africa Chiefs of Defence and Security (EACDS) was held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 12th to 13th February, 2023, as part of the 31st Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) Policy Organs Meetings.

The Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) concluded, on 11 February 2023 at Skylight Hotel Addis-Ababa, Ethiopia, a three-day meeting of its Experts Working Group (EWG) Meeting as part of the 31st Policy Organs Meetings.
EASF celebrates its Professional Staff
The Director of Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF), Brig Gen Getachew Shiferaw Fayisa, led on the 12 January, 2023 at EASF Secretariat in Nairobi, Kenya, a ceremony to celebrate the new year as well as bid farewell to the outgoing staff and welcome the incoming staff.
“Reinvigorate the EASF Civilian Component”
EASF gathers its Civilian National Focal Points (CNFP) in Bujumbura, Burundi, from 5 th to 9 th December,2022 to “reinvigorate the Civilian Component.” The aim of this workshop is to familiarize the Member States CNFP with the planned civilian activities, in particular roster verification and their role in ensuringthat a functional civilian database is in place as well as to enhance integration and team work.
