Open Source Intelligence and Analytical Skills Course Starts

In line with operationalization of EASF's Early Warning Mechanism (E-WARN), a two-week-long Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) and Analytical Skills' Course was launched on Tuesday, 3rd April 2018 at the Secretariat in Karen, Nairobi.

The course seeks to enhance capacity development of selected trainees by optimizing their individual skills and consequently augment institutional response and productivity. It focuses on a broad spectrum of intelligence and security areas, including early warning, conflict analysis, intelligence analysis, strategic foresight and scenario planning.

The OSINT and Analytical Skills' Course is being conducted by I-Intelligence GmbH, a consultancy firm based in Zurich, Switzerland. Established in 2010, I-Intelligence is a leading provider of training and advisory services to organizations wishing to improve their research and analytic capabilities.

Sixteen participants from diverse backgrounds are taking part in the course which is fully funded by the Nordic Advisory and Coordination Staff (NACS).
