EASF Air, Land, and Maritime Movement Planning Course Launched in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
The Air, Land, and Maritime Movement Planning Course commenced on Monday, October 21, 2024, at the Logistics Base Training Centre. Funded by the African Peace and Security Architecture (APSA), the course is a collaborative effort between APSA and the Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF). The two-week program was officially inaugurated by Colonel Getu Taye, Director of the International Peace Support Training Institute at the Ethiopian Ministry of Defense. In his opening remarks, Col. Taye emphasized the critical importance of movement capability for commanders, noting that it is an essential aspect of their command responsibilities.
EASF Concluded AUMEOM Syllabus Review Workshop in Nairobi
Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) organized the African Union Military Experts on Mission (AUMEOM) Syllabus Review Workshop, which began on October 21, 2024 and concluded on October 25, 2024, at the International Peace Support Training Center in Karen, Nairobi. The workshop aimed at evaluating the existing AUMEOM syllabus, identify gaps, and develop a comprehensive training curriculum to effectively address the needs of AU/EASF peace support operations.
