EASF Bids Farewell to Outgoing Staff and Welcomes New Members
Nairobi, Kenya – Thursday, 30 October 2025 – The Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) held a formal handover and farewell ceremony at its Secretariat in Nairobi to honor outgoing staff members and welcome new officers, in line with the EASF Rotation Matrix 2025–2029. The event was presided over by Brigadier (Rtd) Paul Kahuria Njema, the Director of EASF.
EASF Presents Anniversary Book to Key AU Officials at High-Level Forum in Abuja
Abuja, Nigeria — November 9, 2025—The Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) marked a significant milestone in its advocacy and partnership efforts with the formal presentation of the EASF Anniversary Book to senior officials of the African Union Commission (AUC).
The presentation took place during the Second High-Level Biennial Lessons Learned Forum on Peace Support Operations and the African Standby Forces, held from 8–9 November 2025 in Abuja, Nigeria.
Regional OSINT and Conflict Analysis Training Opens in Kampala
Kampala, Uganda – October 27, 2025 – A five-day Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) and Conflict Analysis Training has opened in Kampala, bringing together security and early warning experts from across Eastern Africa to strengthen regional capacity in conflict prevention and analysis.

Botswana – 23 Octobre 2025 – La Communauté de Développement de l'Afrique Australe (SADC) accueille une visite de référence de trois jours de la Force en Attente de l'Afrique Orientale (EASF) du 23 au 25 Octobre 2025 au Siège du Secrétariat de la SADC. Cette visite vise à approfondir la coopération et à partager les meilleures pratiques entre les deux organismes régionaux chargés de la paix et de la sécurité.
