Ongoing Training Course for Military Officers at Rwanda Peace Academy
Musanze, Rwanda – The Force Headquarters Staff Officers Training of Trainers (FHQ SO ToT) Course commenced on August 26, 2024, at the Rwanda Peace Academy (RPA) and will run until September 6. Funded by the African Peace and Security Architecture (APSA), the course is a collaborative effort between RPA and the Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF).
EASF Bids Farewell to Outgoing Staff and Welcomes New Members
Nairobi, Kenya – On August 23, 2024, the Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) held a ceremony at its Secretariat to bid farewell to outgoing staff and welcome new members. The event was presided over by Brig (Rtd) Paul Kahuria Njema, the Director of EASF.
Collaborative Meeting on Early Warning Systems Held in Uganda
Kampala, Uganda — From August 19 to 21, 2024, a significant collaborative meeting took place in Kampala, Uganda between delegation from the Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) led by Brigadier General Domitlen Kabisa, head of the Peace Operations Department and the Department of Disaster Preparedness in the Office of the Ugandan Prime Minister.
