A five-day On-line Media Training course for personnel in the Communications' Department which started on 27th May came to a successful conclusion on Friday 31st May 2019 at Karen, Nairobi, Kenya.
The training, rolled out in line with EASF's Calendar of Activities for 2019, drew its motivation from the fact that improved performance within an organization and delivery of expected results are generally influenced by continuous acquisition of requisite skills by personnel charged with the responsibility of performing such tasks.
In course of the five-day training period, participants explored tools, methods and trends widely used in the industry to enhance productivity.
During the closing ceremony, the Head of Peace Operations' Department Major General Albert Kendagor thanked the facilitators for imparting the relevant knowledge in this area to the training audience. He expressed confidence in that the skills acquired within the training period would go a long way in improving the way the Media Cell will be gathering and delivering content to its readers in future.
The training was conducted by RoyalTrendia's chief trainer Mr. Daniel Maithya, assisted by Mr. James Mutisya from Digital Media. The entire activity was funded by the Nordic Advisory and Coordination Staff (NACS) housed at the EASF Secretariat.
