On behalf the Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF), the Director, Brig. Gen. Getachew Fayisa, would like to congratulate his Excellency Mr. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, on his re-election as the President of the Republic of Uganda, and the people of Uganda, for the peaceful transition of power through election.

As EASF, we highly appreciate and support the efforts of our Member States to develop and strengthen the democratic process, as this contributes greatly to the peace and security in the region.

The EASF wishes continued success and prosperity to the President and the nation. We salute the efforts of the President in the promotion of regional stability and we convey our warmest gratitude to the people of Uganda for their active participation in the development of their beloved country in a peaceful manner.
